The
Runcorn Railway Bridge opened 1868 The Britannia Bridge or
Ethelfleda Bridge, standing on the foundations of
the original fort and using a castle like turret design. Connecting
Liverpool to London by train, it opened up Runcorn as a
destination. The locomotive depicted is the 46115 Scots Guardsman,
likely to have used the line.
